RESOLUTION NO. 2026-053
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY ROAD
CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS FOR 2026 HOT EL CAMINO CRUISE
NITE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Atascadero that the 2026 Hot El
Camino Cruise Nite is scheduled for August 21, 2026, and the route is hereby established as: El
Camino Real from State Route 41 to San Jacinto Avenue. Additionally, East Mall from El Camino
Real to Palma Avenue, West Mall from El Camino Real to Olmeda Avenue, Olmeda Avenue from
Traffic Way to West Mall, Palma Avenue from Traffic Way to West Mall, Entrada Avenue from
El Camino Real to Lewis Avenue, Traffic Way from El Camino Real to Lewis Avenue, and
Rosario Avenue from El Camino Real to Palma Avenue will be closed to accommodate the route
and for participant registration and check-in activities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in order to provide a closed route for the Cruise, the
area described above is designated as a “No Parking” and tow-away zone from 5:00 p.m. until
9:00 p.m. on the aforementioned date of the Cruise.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is authorized to make
modifications to the above road restrictions and associated traffic control plan as necessary to
address conflicts, improve efficiencies, and for public health, welfare, and safety purposes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 14th day
of July 2026.
On motion by Council Member Funk and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dariz, the foregoing
Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote:
