AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ATASCADERO; CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTIONS
2-13.02 AND 2-13.11 OF THE ATASCADERO
MUNICIPAL CODE REDUCING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS
OF THE OF PARRS AND RECREATION COMMISSION FROM
SEVEN TO FIVE
The City Council of the City of Atascadero, California, does
ordain as follows:
Section 1 . Section 2-13 .02 of the Atascadero Municipal Code
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-13 .02. M ATerms
The City Council shall appoint members of the Parks and
Recreation Commission by a majority vote. There shall be
five (5) regular members of the Commission. The terms of
two (2) of the regular members shall expire on June 30,
1990, and every four (4) years thereafter. The terms of
three (3`) of the regular members shall expire on June 30,
1992, and every four (4) years thereafter. Vacancies on
the Commission occurring other than by expiration of term
shall be filled in the manner established for appoint-
ments. All members shall serve at the pleasure of the
City Council.
Section 2. Section 2-13 .11 of the Atascadero Municipal Code
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-13 .11 . Reggeation. Director: Meeting
Attendance: Reports. The Recreation Director or the
Director' s delegate shall attend the meetings of the
Parks and Recreation Commission and shall make such
reports to the Commission, to the City Manager, or to the
City Council as may be required.
Sggtion 3 . The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be
published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in the
Atascadero News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published, and circulated in the City in accordance with Section
36933 of the Government Code; shall certify the adopting and
posting of this ordinance; and shall cause this ordinance and
this certification together with proof of posting to be entered
into the Book of Ordinances of the City.
Section 4. This ordinance shall go into effect and be in
full force and effect at 12: 01 a.m. on the 31st day after its
passage.

On motion by Councilperson Borgeson and seconded by
Councilperson Dexter the foregoing ordinance is
approved by the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Councilmembers Shiers, Nimmo, Dexter, Borgeson and
Noes: Mayor Lilley
None
Absent: None
