AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO ADDING
SECTION 4-3 . 504 TO ARTICLE 5, TITLE 4 OF THE ATASCADERO
MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The Council of the City of Atascadero ordains as follows:
Section 1. Section 4-3 .504 is added to Article 5 , Title 4
of the Atascadero Municipal Code to read as follows:
4-3 ..504. Modifying the State speed limit on certain streets or
' portions thereof.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and
traffic investigation that the speed otherwise permitted by State
law upon the following streets does not fall within reasonable or
safe limits under the conditions found to exist upon such streets .
It is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as
herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein desig-
nated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

' Section 2. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be
published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in the
Atascadero News, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published
and circulated in the City in accordance with Section 36933 of the
Government Code; shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and
shall cause this ordinance and this certification to be entered into
the Book of Ordinances of this City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall go into effect and be in full
force and effect at 12: 01 a.m. on the 31st day after its passage.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced on June 22 , 1981,
' and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council held on July 13, 1981.
