AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Council adopted Resolution No. 2-81 approving
participation in the National Flood Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to this resolution certain regulations
are necessary for effective enforcement of the National Flood
Insurance Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. The City Engineer shall be the responsible person
and shall enforce Section 1910. 3 (b) of the Federal Insurance
Administration regulations as Section 1910.3 (b) appeared in the
Federal Register, Volume 41, No. 207, Tuesday, October 26 , 1976.
Section 2. The Flood Hazard Boundary Map issued by the
Federal Insurance Administration for this community;, dated September
16 , 1980, with Panel Numbers 060700 0001-002, and any officially
' published revisions to this map, is adopted as the official map
for the enforcement of this Ordinance. Zone A on this map delineates
the area within which the requirements of this ordinance will be
enforced.
' Section 3 . The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be
published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in the
Atascadero News, a newspaper of general circulation printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the City in accordance with Section 36933
of the Government Code; shall certify the adoption of this ordinance
' and shall cause this ordinance and this certification to be entered
into the Book of ordinances of this City.
Section 4 . This ordinance shall go into effect and be in
' full force and effect at 12: 01 a.m. on the 31st 'day after its passage.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced on February 10, 1981
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council held on February 23,
1981
