foregoing is the true and correct original of Ordinance No. 21E adopted by the
Atascadero City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on March 8, 1994 and that
it has been duly published pursuant to State Law.

ORDINANCE NO. 275
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA
ADDING CHAPTER 12 TO TITLE 3, AUTHORIZING BINGO GAMES
THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Atascadero, California, does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Chapter 12 is added to Title 3 to read as follows:
CHAPTER 12. BINGO GAMES
Sec. 3-12.01. Bingo defined.
As used in this chapter, "bingo" means those games authorized
pursuant to California Constitution Article IV and Code Section
326.5 and their successor laws.
Sec. 3-12.02. Bingo authorized
Bingo games may be conducted within the City of Atascadero only
by:
1 . Organizations exempted from the payment of the Bank and
Corporation Tax by Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 23701 a,
23701 b, 23701 d, 23701 e, 23701 f, 23701 g and 237011;
2. Mobilehome park associations; and
3. Senior citizen organizations, provided the receipts of such
games are used only for charitable purposes.
All games shall strictly conform to Penal Code Section 326.5 and
other applicable laws.
Section 2. Publication.
The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be published once within fifteen
(15) days after its passage in the Atascadero News, a newspaper of general circula-
tion, printed, published and circulated in the City in accordance with Section 36933
of the Government Code; shall certify the adopting and posting of this ordinance and
shall cause this ordinance and this certification, together with proof of posting, to be
entered into the Book of Ordinances of the City.

Section 4. Effective Date.
This ordinance shall go into effect and be in full force and effect at 12:01 a.m.
on the 31 st day after its passage.
On motion by Councilmember Bewley and seconded by Councilmember
Borgeson , the foregoing Ordinance is approved by the following roll-call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Bewley, Borgeson, Luna and Mayor Nimmo
NOES: None
ABSENT: One Seat Vacant
