RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING CONSENT TO THE
COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO TO RENEW THE SAN LUIS OBISPO
COUNTY TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT (SLOCTMD)
WHEREAS, on January 13, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2015-006
granting consent to the County of San Luis Obispo to form the San Luis Obispo County Tourism
Marketing District (SLOCTMD) for a five-year term ending June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Luis Obispo is beginning the process of renewing the
SLOCTMD for sten-year term beginning July 1, 2020 pursuant to the Property -and Business
Improvement District Law of 1994, Streets and Highways Code sectio] s 36600 at seq: to promote
lodging businesses in Sari Luis Obispo County, including the cities of Arroyo Grande, Aldscadero,
Grover Beach, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach and San Luis'6bis]5_�D; and -'
WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Section 36620.5 re,guireg�he City of AtE3cadero
to grant consent to the County of San Luis Obispo for the City of Atascadermto t�elgcluded in the
renewed SLOCTMD; and

(� WHEREAS, on September 18, 2019, the Atascadero Tourism Business Improvement District
Advisory Board considered the proposal to renew the SLOCTMD and recommended approval.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Atascadero, that:
SECTION 1. The above recital is true and correct.
SECTION 2. The City Council consents to the County of San Luis Obispo renewing the
SLOCTMD, which District shall include the City of Atascadero.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy
of this Resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
SECTION 4. This Resolution is effective upon its adoption.

Atascadero, State of California, held on this 8th day of October, 2019 by the following vote:
On motion by Mayor Pro Tem Bourbeau and seconded by Council Member Newsom, the
foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote:
