A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
CERTIFYING THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
PREPARED FOR THE EL CENTRO OAKS PROJECT

WHEREAS, a Draft Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared for the
project and made available for public review in accordance with the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Atascadero held public hearings on July
20, 1999 and September 21, 1999 recommending both times that the City Council certify the Initial
Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration as adequate under CEQA; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Atascadero, at a public hearing held on
Tuesday, October 12, 1999, hereby resolves to certify the Mitigated Negative Declaration based on the
following Findings:
(a) The Mitigated Negative Declaration has been completed in compliance with CEQA; and
(b) The Mitigated Negative Declaration was presented to the Planning Commission, and the
information contained therein was considered by the Planning Commission, prior to
recommending action on the project for which it was prepared; and
(c) The Final Mitigated Negative Declaration was presented to the City Council, and the
information therein contained was considered by the City Council, prior to taking final action
on the project for it was prepared.
On motion by Council Member Clay and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Arrambide, the foregoing
Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Council Members Arrambide, Clay, Luna and Mayor Johnson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
