A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ATASCADERO SUSPENDING PROCEDURES FOR
THE INITIATION AND PROCESSING OF AMENDMENTS TO
THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Atascadero adopted Resolution 26-95
establishing procedures for the initiation and processing of amendments to the City's general plan
pursuant to Government Code section 65358; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of suspending the procedures for the initiation
and processing of amendments for the purposes of conducting updates to some or all of the
elements of the General Plan; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Atascadero
that the procedures for the initiation and processing of amendments to the City's general plan are
hereby suspended as follows:
1. Application deadlines for private persons making application for amendments to
the General Plan, as specified in Resolution 26-95 are hereby suspended for the
application cycles commencing October 1, 1999, April 1, 2000 and October 1,
2000 and April 1, 2001.
2. Applications for the amendment to the General Plan will resume with the cycle
beginning October 1, 2001.
3. All other procedures for the initiation and processing of amendments as specified
in Resolution 26-95 shall remain in effect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its passage by the City Council.
On motion by Mayor Pro Tem Arrambide and seconded by Council Member Luna, the
foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Council Members Arrambide, Lerno, Luna and Mayor Johnson
NOES: Council Member Clay
ABSENT: None
