RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
LAIDLAW TRANSIT SERVICES, INC.
TO PROVIDE TRANSIT MANAGEMENT SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
WHEREAS, at the City Council Meeting held on March 24, 1998 Council directed staff
to solicit proposals for transit management services; and
WHEREAS, Laidlaw Transit Services Inc., submitted the proposal that best meets the
standards of the City of Atascadero; and
NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Atascadero does resolve as
follows:
1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Laidlaw Transit
Services, Inc. to provide transit management services to the City of Atascadero.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make minor corrections or
modifications of a mathematical or clerical nature.
3. The Director of Administrative Services is hereby authorized to appropriate,
release and expend funds to comply with the term of this agreement.
On a motion by Council Member Johnson and seconded by Council Member Clay, the
foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Council Members Clay, Johnson, Luna and Mayor Carden
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Lerno
