HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 82-97 RESOLUTION NO. 82-97 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE MAP BY CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT 7405/7425 NAVAJOA AVENUE FROM OFFICE TO HIGH DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (GPA #97002 : Gearhart) WHEREAS, the City of Atascadero has grown considerably since incorporation; and WHEREAS, the City' s General Plan, which was prepared in the 19701s, adopted in 1980, and amended in 1992 to guide the City' s general growth is in need of updating; and WHEREAS; the Planning Commission of the City of Atascadero conducted a public hearing on the subject amendment on August 19, 1997; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 65356 provides that a General Plan be amended by the adoption of a resolution; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Atascadero finds as follows : 1. The proposed General Plan Amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. 2 . The proposed General Plan Amendment will not have a significant adverse affect on the environment. The Negative Declaration prepared for the project is adequate. THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero does resolve to approve General Plan Amendment GPA #97002 as follows : 1. Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element, Land Use Map as shown on the attached "Exhibit A Resolution No. 82-97 Page 2 On motion by Councilmember Luna and seconded by Councilmember Clay, the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Clay, Luna and Mayor Pro Tem Carden NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Johnson and Councilmember Lerno (abstained) DATE ADOPTED: September 9, 1997 TY OFSCA ERO, CA (7 RAY J0 SON Mayor ATTEST: ARCIA M.
