RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING ONE (1) MEMBER TO THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO'S BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION
BOARD OF APPEALS
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Title 2, Chapter 12 of the Atascadero
Municipal Code, establishing the City Building & Construction Board of Appeals; and
WHEREAS, the Board consists of five members, two of whom shall be general
contractors, one whom shall be an architect or structural engineer, one whom shall
be a specialty contractor and one whom shall be a member of the public-at large; and
WHEREAS, one term has become vacant on the Board of Appeals leaving one
vacancy to be filled by a Specialty Contractor; and
WHEREAS, public advertisements soliciting interest in appointment to the
Board of Appeals have been published and posted; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk did receive two (2) applications for the Specialty
Contractor position; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, on June 10, 1997, interview two candidates
for the Specialty Contractor position on the Board of Appeals and did then vote for
specific nominations.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Atascadero does resolve to
appoint the following citizen to fill the vacancy which is a four (4) year term expiring
on April 1 , 1998.

On motion by Councilperson Luna and seconded by Councilperson Clay the
foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Luna, Carden, Clay, Lerno, and Mayor Johnson.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ADOPTED: June 10, 1997
