RESOLUTION NO. 13-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO CHANGING THE NAME OF A NEW STREET FROM CYNTHIA COURT
TO MAYA LANE. (RNC 97001 : Maya Lane - Tract 2198)
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 34091 . 1 establishes
authority for cities to designate or change the name of city
streets; and
WHEREAS, a majority of the residences on Cynthia Court have
requested that the that the name be changed to Maya Lane; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero Postmaster and City Fire and Police
Departments have agreed that the name Maya Lane will not
duplicate or be confused with other street names; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero Planning Commission held a public
hearing on this issue on March 4, 1997; and
THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero finds as
follows :
1 . The City Council finds that an orderly street name
pattern will be maintained with the proposed road
street change.
2 . The City Council of the City of Atascadero hereby
approves the request and changes the name of Cynthia
Court to Maya Lane as shown on Exhibit A.
3 . The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this
Resolution of Road Name Change, attested by his or her
seal, to be recorded without acknowledgment or further
proof in the office of County Recorder.
On motion by Councilman Luna -, seconded by Councilman
Carden the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety by the following roll-call vote:
AYES : Councilmembers Carden, Clay, Lerno, Luna and Mayor
Johnson
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
