A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO APPOINTING
ROBERT F. GROGAN AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, Andrew J. Takata has tendered his resignation and has accepted a
position with the City of Newcastle, Washington; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have an Interim City Manager to act in that
capacity for a limited duration until a permanent replacement has been appointed; and
WHEREAS, the. position requires the specialized skills of an experienced City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, Robert F. Grogan, as prior City Manager of the City of Santa Maria
for many years and as Interim City Manager of other cities, has such specialized skills;
and
WHEREAS, Robert F. Grogan has expressed a commitment not to seek permanent
appointment as City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Atascadero does hereby appoint Robert F.
Grogan as Interim City Manager;
2. The Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement satisfactory to the Interim
City Attorney with Robert F. Grogan to provide full-time interim services as City Manager.
On motion by Council Member CARDEN , seconded by
Council Member LERNO and carried on the following vote,
this 3rd day of FEBRUARY , 1997:
