HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 70-96 ATTACHMENT D RESOLUTION NO. 70-96 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE MAP BY INCLUDING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT 2055-2375 EL CAMINO REAL/5505 DEL RIO ROAD WITHIN THE U_IRBAN SERVICES LINE AND CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF THE PROPERTY FROM NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL AND SUBURBAN RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL PARK AND LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (GPA #95008: Investee) WHEREAS, the City of Atascadero has grown considerably since incorporation; and WHEREAS, the City's General Plan, which was prepared in the 19701s, adopted in 1980, and amended in 1992 to guide the City' s general growth is in need of updating; and WHEREAS; the Planning Commission of the City of Atascadero conducted a public hearing on the subject amendment on August 20, 1996; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 65356 provides that a General Plan be amended by the adoption of a resolution; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Atascadero finds as follows: 1 . The proposed General Plan Amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. 2 . The proposed General Plan Amendment will not have a significant adverse affect on the environment. The Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is adequate as defined in the California Environmental Quality Act. Mitigation measures have been incorporated into the project, which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effects identified in the Final EIR 3. The proposed extension of the Urban Services Line will not overburden the City's sewer plant or collection system and will not adversely affect sewer service to other priority areas, specifically cease and desist locations. Resolution 70-96 Page 2 THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero does resolve to approve General Plan :Amendment GPA #95011 as follows: 1 . Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element, Land Use Map as shown on the attached "Exhibit A" .
