' s 26-90 and 27-90. BACKGROUND Due to an oversight , the attached resolutions were not brought before you at the last regular meeting for adoption. Pursuant to Sec . 23302 of the Elections Code, resolutions to call a municipal election and to consolidate with the statewide primary must be • filed with the County by March 9, 1990 and in order to meet this deadline, Council is being asked to consider them. In addition, March 9 is also the last day to notify the County if the City wishes to have a measure on the ballot . Because both the above-mentioned resolutions must outline any proposed measure(s) , Council is being given an opportunity to discuss whether or not they wish to place on the ballot the question of whether the Offices of City Clerk and City Treasurer should be appointive or remain elective.
