A 90-foot wide public right-of-way exists on both West Mall and East Mall, and the area has historically been designated as a landscaped parkway, planted with Coast Live Oak trees. The existing kiosk is to be located at the site of a recently removed 64-inch Coast Live Oak tree. General Plan Designation: Downtown (D) Zoning District: Downtown Commercial (DC) Proposed Environmental Determination: CEQA Class 3 Categorical Exemption: Section 15303. New construction of small structures.
