SECOND REVIEW: PLN-2099-0024/CUP-2004-0123 LAS LOMAS VILLAGE APARTMENTS REQUEST TO REMOVE NO-PARKING REQUIREMENT ON CALLE MILANO Property Owner/Applicant: Mike Zappas, Las Lomas Village, 8189 San Dimas Road, Atascadero, CA 93422 Project Title: PLN-2099-0024/CUP-2004-0123 Woodridge Multi-Family / Las Lomas Village Apartments Project Location: 9000 Calle Milano, Dechado Ct., Ciruela Way, Los Olivos Circle, Atascadero, CA 93422 (San Luis Obispo County) APN’s 045-311-014, 045-311-015, 045-311-016 Project Description & Proposed Request: The applicant is requesting that the DRC waive the current requirement for installation of No Parking signs on Calle Milano. The applicant states that this requirement is not applied to the rest of the Las Lomas project, and there is adequate width on the street to accommodate on-street parking. The DRC previously reviewed the same request on October 23, 2013. The DRC referred this item back to staff for addition review. At the meeting staff will present an engineered parking layout that would provide parking along one side of Callie Milano, between the apartment entry gate and Eliano Street for the Design Review Committee’s consideration. Any change to allow on -street parking on Calle Milano, west of Eliano Street would be subject to a specific plan amendment process requiring Planning Commission review and City Council approval. LAS LOMAS SPECIFIC PLAN: REVIEW OF NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES The Design Review Committee will review neighborhood concerns related to the Las Lomas Specific Plan area. Residents and the general public are invited to speak about any maintenance, construction, or neighborhood compatibility concerns within the Las Lomas project area. The Design Review Committee will determine if any issues need to be referred to staff for additional attention.
