ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
CITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
5500 PALMA AVENUE, 4TH FLOOR CLUB ROOM
AUGUST 20, 1992
4:00 P.M.
Mayor Nimmo called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
Present: Councilmembers Borgeson, Kudlac, Luna, Bewley,
and Mayor Nimmo
Absent: None
Also Present: Micki Korba, City Treasurer and Lee Raboin,
City Clerk, Andy Takata, Assistant City
Manager and Henry Engen, Community Development
Director
MEETING PURPOSE:
To interview candidates for appointment to the City' s Planning
Commission and make formal selection of five citizens to serve.
The Mayor pointed out that two members would serve a four-year
term, two members would serve a three-year term and one member
would fulfill the remaining two years of Marty Kudlac's term.
MEETING HIGHLIGHTS:
There was brief discussion regarding Council policy set forth in
Resolution No. 35-81. By proper motion, the Council unanimously
agreed to waive, for this interview session only, the requirement
that all applicants be personally interviewed in an open, public
meeting.
The City Council interviewed and considered the following
applicants: Jim Berger, Frank Bowman, Dennis Bryant, Hal Carden,

Hoyt Chambless, Dale Cradduck, Jim Edwards, Russ Kolemaine, Dennis
Lochridge, Jaime Lopez-Balbontin, Roger Miller, Ron Nelson and Ron
Vanderpool.
The Council, by ballot, made the following selections:
Members to serve a four-year term:
Jim Edwards
Dennis Lochridge
Members to serve- a three-year term:
Jim Berger
Roger Miller
Member to serve the remaining two-year term:
Hal Carden
MOTION: By Councilman Luna, seconded by Councilman Kudlac, to
adopt Resolution No. 79-92 formalizing the appointments;
motion carried 5:0 by roll call vote.
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:50 P.M. THE NEXT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL WILL BE TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 1992 AT 7:00 P.M.
