1 RESOLUTION NO. 45-84 RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING A SALARY/CLASSIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR THE 1984/85 FISCAL YEAR Section 1. The Salary/Classification Plan, attached as Exhibits I , II, III , and IV for Fiscal Year 1984/85 is hereby adopted. Section 2. For employees who are not members of a recognized employee association or union, and who are not represented by a recog- nized bargaining unit, excluding Department Heads and the City Manager the following provisions for Fiscal Year 1984/85 will apply: a. Continue to pay the employees' monthy contributions (7% of gross) to the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) . b. Pay all medical and dental benefit premiums for employees at the rate and coverage prevailing under the City' s medical and dental program as now exists through City' s participation in the Central Coast Cities Self-Insurance Fund, known as the Self-Insurance JPA. The City shall pay, for Fiscal Year 1984/85, dependent medical/dental premiums up to $84.75 per month, effective with the first premium due on or after July 1, 1984. C. For those employees without dependents or who do not choose to enroll their dependents in the City plan, the $84. 75 shall be paid to the employee as an addition to his/her regular pay. d. City shall maintain a term life insurance policy for each employee in a total amount of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) and shall pay all employee coverage premiums for such policy for the 1984/85 Fiscal Year. Section 3. For Department Heads and the City Manager, the fol- lowing provisions for Fiscal Year 1984/85 will apply: a. EXHIBIT V CITY OF ATASCADERO SALARY PLAN UNCLASSIFIED POSITIONS Fiscal Year 1984/85 - 1 I. ELECTED OFFICERS (Other than City Council Members) City Clerk $20.00/month City Treasurer $10.00/month II. RESERVE EMPLOYEES Police Reserve Officers: Hourly rate defined as that of Police Trainee as set by current classified salary schedule. Note: Only P.O.S.T. certified Level II Reserves are eligible for pay and may receive same after specific approval of the Police Chief. Additionally, Police Reserves are re- quired to work sixteen volunteer (unpaid) hours per month before authorization may be granted for paid hours. Fire Reserves: a. Drills - two (2) hours minimum $ 5.00/hour b. Emergency call-out - first hour $ 7.50/hour each additional hour $ 5 .00/hour III. OTHER POSITIONS Lifeguard (Recreation Department) $ 4. 50/hour Supervising Lifeguard (Recreation Department) $ 5. 50/hour School Crossing Guards (Police Department) $ 5.37/hour Relief Support Services Aide (Police Department) : Hourly rate defined as that of Support Services Aide Trainee as set by current classified salary schedule. Interns (All Departments) $ 4.50/hour Temporary Help: Minimum legal wage or a minimum of hourly trainee rate for classification; may be exceeded upon recommendation of Depart- ment Head.
