PUBLIC COMMENT
(This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any
matter not on this agenda and over which the Commission has jurisdiction. Speakers are limited
to five minutes. Please state your name and address for the record before making your
presentation. The Commission may take action to direct the staff to place a matter of business on
a future agenda.)
CONSENT CALENDAR
(All items on the consent calendar are considered to be routine and non -controversial by City
Staff and will be approved by one motion if no member of the Commission or public wishes to
comment or ask questions.)
1. Approval of minutes of the regular Planning Commission meeting of December 7,
1999.
2. Approval of Resolution PC 1999-059, thereby recommending that the City
Council approve the text changes to the Subdivision Ordinance as submitted to
comply with the State Subdivision Map Act.
The Planning Commission directed staff to bring final text amendments for final
approval on consent.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
(For each of the following items, the public will be given an opportunity to speak. After a staff
report, the Chair will open the public hearing and invite the applicant or applicant's
representative to make any comments. Members of the public will be invited to provide testimony
to the Commission following the applicant. Speakers should state their name and address for the
record and can address the Commission for five minutes. After all public comments have been
received, the public hearing will be closed, and the Commission will discuss the item and take
appropriate action(s).)
3. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 97013 AMENDMENT OF CONDITIONS
OF APPROVAL— 8080 El Camino Real (Albertsons)
Re -consideration of the original project conditions of approval for CUP 97013, to
allow exterior mounted roof ladders on the US 101 frontage of the Albertson
Shopping Center project.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Consistent with original project
Mitigated Negative Declaration.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. PC 2000-001, amending project
condition 7 to allow exterior mounted roof ladders on the back of the in-line
retain buildings subject to additional screening from the planting of 10 native oak
trees on the slope banks of the detention basin.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STAFF REPORTS
4. APPEARANCE REVIEW MODIFICATION - CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT 98010 (4845 EL CAMINO REAL — SAN JACINTO CENTER)
Staff Recommendation: Modify previously approved building appearance
requirement for 4845 El Camino Real by requiring the north elevation to be color
treated in the areas directly below the parapets and the base adjacent to the
retaining wall and additional landscape plantings along the El Camino elevation
frontage and the rear (east) property line.
