' A RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP 830930 :2 CON-
CERNING A REQUESTED CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIG-
NATION FROM MODERATE DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY RES-
IDENTIAL TO HIGH DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDEN-
TIAL WITHIN THE COROMAR RESIDENTIAL STUDY AREA
1
WHEREAS, the Atascadero City Council conducted a public hearing
on the application filed by John D. and Dorothy Lopus, including con-
sideration of the expanded Coromar Residential Study Area; and,
WHEREAS, it is premature to provide a doubling of the sewer ser-
vice in this area until such time as a study on City-wide sewer capa-
city can be assessed; and,
WHEREAS, the requested amendment would encourage development which
is not consistent with policies set forth in the 1980 Atascadero Gen-
eral Plan; and,
rWHEREAS, it is inappropriate to allow modification of General Plan
policies without additional study of the potential effects on the pop-
ulation and open space goals of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Atascadero City Council
does hereby deny General Plan Amendment GP 820930 :2 concerning a re-
quested change in Land Use designation from Moderate Density Single
