A RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP 820325 :1
CONCERNING A REQUESTED CHANGE IN LAND USE
DESIGNATION FROM LOW DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL TO LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL WITHIN THE EL CAMINO REAL -
' MONTECITO RESIDENTIAL STUDY AREA.
WHEREAS, the Atascadero City Council conducted a public hearing
on the application filed by Fred C. and Teri L. Pflum, Lilley and
' O'Farrell/Williams House of Carpets, Ernestine B. Ward and Catherine
K. Forsman including consideration of the expanded E1 Camino Real
Montecito Study Area; and,
1 WHEREAS the proposed Low Density Multiple Family Residential
designation will not conform to General Plan goals and policies re-
lating to overall community size and to public facilities coordina-
tion with land use policies; and,
WHEREAS, there are no plans to expand the Sewer Improvement Dis-
trict or Sanitation'District to include this area and the City is com-
mitted to serve several existing areas of presently developed lots
that have a record of septic problems; and,
WHEREAS, the development of the area to a higher residential den-
sity is not desirable due to the unavailability of sewers to the area
and due to severe septic limitations in the area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Atascadero City Council
does hereby deny General Plan Amendment GP 820325 :1 concerning a re-
quested change in land use designation from Low Density Single Family
Residential to Low Density Multiple Family Residential within the E1
Camino Real - Montecito Residential Study Area.
On motion by Councilman Wilkins , and seconded
by Councilman Stover, , the foregoing resolution is
' adopted in its entirety by the following roll call vote:
