A RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) APPLICATION FOR 1983
WHEREAS, a public meeting was held on February 16, 1983 to accept
' public comments for any proposed projects covered by the CDBG program;
and
' WHEREAS, the Atascadero City Council conducted public hearings on
the subject matter on February 28 and March 14, 1983; and
' WHEREAS, no written public comments have been received; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero City Council sees a need to preserve the
existing affordable housing stock within the City and provide safe and
' adequate housing for the residents of Atascadero; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has funds
available through its Community Development Block Grant Program for
such needs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and is aware of the assur-
ances and responsibilities of an applicant for CBDG funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Atascadero City Council
' does hereby authorize Murray L. Warden, City Manager, to submit to the
Department of Housing and Community Development an application for
Community Development Block Grant funding in the amount of $600,000
' for a housing rehabilitation and a housing maintenance program.
On motion by Councilman Wilkins and seconded by Councilman
Stover , the foregoing resolution is adopted in its entirety by
' the following roll call vote:
AYES: Stover,Molina,Wilkins,Mackey and Nelson
' NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ADOPTED: March 14, 1983
