MINUTES
CITY OF ATASCADERO
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2000
6:30 P.M.
Chairman Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Board Members Arrambide, Clay, Luna, Scalise and Chairman Johnson
Absent: None
Others Present: Board Secretary Marcia Torgerson and City Treasurer David Graham
Staff Present: Executive Director Wade McKinney, Community Services Director Brady
Cherry, Deputy Executive Director Paul Saldana, City Attorney Roy
Hanley.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
MOTION: By Board Member Luna and seconded by Board Member Clay to
approve the agenda.
Motion passed 5:0 by a roll -call vote.
COMMUNITY FORUM:
John McGoff, 9192 Maple St., told the Board the City Attorney has convinced him that the
Redevelopment Agency (RDA) is a separate agency from the Council. He asked why the
Carlton was not handled by the RDA. Deputy Executive Director Paul Saldana stated that the
Redevelopment Plan provides that any projects within the Redevelopment Area and are
consistent with the General Plan are deemed consistent with the Redevelopment Plan.
Therefore, there was no reason for the project to come before the RDA.
Chairman Johnson closed the Public Comment period.

MOTION:. By Vice Chairman Arrambide and seconded by Board Member Clay
to approve the consent calendar.
Motion passed 5:0 by a roll -call vote.

Chairman Johnson adjourned the meeting at 6:36 p.m. to the next regularly scheduled meeting on
