The Commission may take action to direct the staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda) A. MINUTES 1. Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes — Sept. 21, 2000 B. PRESENTATIONS: 1. Boy Scout Eagle Project — Stadium Park Sign Staff recommendation: Approve a project proposed by Eagle Scout candidate, Ben Hauser to install a sign at the Stadium Park entrance. C. STAFF REPORTS: 1. "The Bacchantes" Sub -Committee — Relocation Options Staff recommendation: Appoint Atascadero resident, Susan Beatie to lead a Sub - Committee of volunteers to investigate and return recommendations regarding the potential relocation of "The Bacchantes." 1 2. Youth / Community Center— Commissioner Appointment to an Architect Selection Team Staff recommendation: Appoint one (1) Parks and Recreation Commissioner to participate on a review panel for the selection of an Architect for the proposed Youth/Community Center. D. COMMITTEE REPORTS: (The following represent standing committees. Informative status reports will be given, as felt necessary): 1. Atascadero Recreation Center Committee -next meeting October 26, 2000, 6:30 p.m., Masonic Temple Building 2. Atascadero Youth Task Force -next meeting November 7, 2000, 7:00 a.m., City Administration Building E. COMMISSIONER/ STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE ANNOUNCEMENTS: (On their own initiative, Commissioners may make a brief announcement or a brief report on their own activities. Commissioners may ask a question for clarification, make a referral to staff or take action to have staff place a matter of business on a future agenda. The Commissioners may take action on items listed on the Agenda) F. STAFF COMMENTS: 1. Zoo Curator's Report 2. Zoo Maintenance Staff Reorganization 3. Arts in Public Places Letter 4. Commissioner Terms G. CALENDAR OF EVENTS: THE NEXT PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING WILL BE A REGULAR SESSION SCHEDULED ON NOVEMBER 16, 2000 AT 7:00 P.M.
