RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO ESTABLISHING A 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON
CARMELITA AVENUE FROM PORTOLA ROAD TO SAN ANDRES AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 4-2.501, et. sect, of the Atascadero
Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer, through an
engineering and traffic survey, to determine the appropriate speed
limit for streets within the City; and
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey conducted by the
Atascadero Police Department determined that the appropriate and
safe speed is 25 miles per hour ("MPH") on Carmelita Avenue from
Portola Road to San Andres Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero
directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and maintain appropriate
signs or markings to indicate a 25 MPH speed limit at this location
On motion by Councilmember Nimmo, and - seconded by
Councilmember Luna, the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in
its entirety on the following roll call vote:
I AYES: Councilmembers Bewley, Nimmo, Luna and Mayor Kudlac
1 NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Borgeson
