RESOLUTION NO. 8-79
RESOLUTION CREATING A TEMPORARY TOWAWAY
ZONE AND PARADE ROUTE
T H E C I T Y C 0 U N C I L
City of Atascadero, California
I BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Atascadero
that the Colony Days Parade route is hereby established as
northerly along E1 Camino Real from the vicinity of Pueblo
Street to Entrada and then easterly along Entrada to Lewis
Avenue; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in order to provide a
reserved route for the parade that the area described above
is designated as a tow-away zone from the period of 8 :OO a.m.
until 12 :00 noon, October 20, 1979 ; and
rBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in order to provide an area
for the booths and concessions associated with the Colony
Days celebration, Palma Street between Highway 41 and East
Mall and East Mall from El Camino Real to Lewis Street is
designated as a tow-away zone and that blocking of traffic
from the period of 8:00 a.m. until 6 : 00 p.m. , October 20,
1979, is approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the California_Highway Patrol
is hereby requested to assist the San Luis Obispo County
Sheriff ' s Department with traffic during the period of the
Colony Days Parade.
tOn motion by Councilman Highland and seconded by
Councilman Mackey , the foregoing resolution is hereby
adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Highland, Mackey, Nelson, Stover and
Mayor Wilkins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ADOPTED: August 13, 1979 /
