HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 06-79 RESOLUTION NO. 6-79 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR A NEWS AND BUSINESS OFFICE IN A C-1-D ZONE, ATASCADERO T H E C I T Y C O U N C I L City of Atascadero, California tWHEREAS, the Council, at its regular meeting of July 30, 1979, considered the staff report of the County Planning Department's Development Review Section and considered the provisions of the Atascadero General Plan dated 1978 and pro- visions ofthe Atascadero Creekway Plan as well as hearing testimony presented by the applicant, Ben and Dick Reddick of Paso Robles, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council finds the Development Plan for a news and business office to be located on the east side of the East Mall midway between Lewis Avenue and E1 Camino Real and across from the end of Palma Avenue to be consistent with the Atascadero General Plan as dated 1978 and with the Atascadero Creekway Plan as adopted by said General Plan subject to the following conditions: 1. That the applicant provide by offer of dedication a seven and one-half (7 1/2) foot pedestrian way along the northeasterly boundary and across the full depth of applicant' s property which is bounded by and contiguous to the property known as the "Cook Pro- perty, " Assessor's Parcel No. 29-247-25; said pedes- trian way to provide access to Atascadero Creek. 2. Applicant shall dedicate said pedestrian way at a time as specified by the City of Atascadero or at such time as the provisions of the Atascadero Creekway Plan are implemented whichever is sooner. 3. Applicant shall not construct any building or other i appurtenance to his property which will in any way impair the ability to provide a pedestrian access- way as specified above. ' 4. Applicant shall locate and delineate through a certified survey the alleyway to the rear of his ' property which is to be used as an accessway to the employee parking area located on his property. Said alleyway shall be improved and maintained at applicant' s expense, Resolution No. 6-79 Page Two 5. In the event that vehicular access to the parking lot is required from East Mall, then applicant'. will install the necessary curb cuts and access- ways so as to provide required access to his parking area. On motion by Councilman Highland and seconded by Council- man Nelson, the foregoing resolution was adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Highland, Mackey, Nelson, Stover and Mayor Wilkins NOES: None ABSENT: None ADOPTED: July 30, 1979 ROBERT J.
