MINUTES
Thursday, December 17, 2009
SPECIAL HOLIDAY MEETING: 6:00 P.M.
Chairperson Butz called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. and Vice Chairperson
Chacon led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Chacon, Cooper, Marks, Wachtel, Zirk and
Chairperson Butz.
Absent: Commissioner Greenaway (excused)
Youth Representative O'Connell (excused)
Staff Present: Community Services Director Brady Cherry, Deputy Director
of Public Works - Operations Geoff English, Zoo Director
Alan Baker, Recreation Supervisor Paula Anton, Recreation
Supervisor Jennifer Fanning and Recreation Coordinator —
Pavilion Audrey Banks.
COMMUNITY FORUM:
None.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
MOTION: By Commissioner Marks and seconded by
Commissioner Wachtel to approve the Agenda.
Motion passed 6:0 by a roll -call vote.
COMMISSION ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REPORTS:
None.
A. PRESENTATION:
1. Special Presentation by the Community Services Department —
Year in Review
Community Services Director Brady Cherry showed a power point presentation to the
Commission regarding the Department's 2009 achievements, events, programs and
accomplishments. He answered questions of the Commission.
No Action Was Taken.
B. ADJOURNMENT:
Chairperson Butz adjourned the meeting at 7:41 p.m. to the next regularly scheduled
meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission on January 21, 2010.
