ATASCADERO PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
MINUTES
Thursday, July 16, 2009
FACILITIES TOUR
SPECIAL MEETING: 6:OOPM
Chairperson Butz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Cooper, Chacon, Greenaway, Hatch, Marks, Zirk
and Chairperson Butz. Youth Representative O'Connell.
Absent: None.
Staff Present: Public Works Director Russ Thompson, Deputy Director of Public
Works — Operations Geoff English and Zoo Director Alan Baker.
PARK FACILITIES TOUR:
The Commission toured the following facilities in the order listed:
1) Stadium Park
2) Charles Paddock Zoo
Approved August 20, 2009
Deputy Director of Public Works - Operations Geoff English lead the tour at Stadium
Park. Fred Frank and Bruce Boniface were also in attendance and extended their
knowledge and expertise to the Commission.
Zoo Director Alan Baker lead the tour at the Charles Paddock Zoo.
Commissioners were informed of individual facilities' uses, maintenance, future plans
and issues at each location. Staff answered questions of the Commission. No action
was taken.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chairperson Butz adjourned the meeting at 9:00 p.m.
