RESOLUTION NO. 56-84
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO SUPPORTING THE ADOPTION OF PROPOSITION
30 , SENIOR CENTER BOND ACT
WHEREAS, Senior Centers serve as a vital link in the
provision of social, health, and nutrition services to
senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, Senior Centers serve as a "home" for many senior
citizens of our county; and
WHEREAS, senior citizens of our community would be better
served and serve the community better through the expansion
and development of SENIOR CENTERS in our community; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 30 - Senior Center Bond Act - will
provide over $400 ,000 for the renovation, acquisition, and
construction of senior centers or fund start-up costs of
senior center programs in San Luis Obispo County; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 30 will appear on the Novmeber general
election ballot and needs a majority vote for passage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Atascadero supports passage of Proposition 30 - Senior
Center Bond Act - and urges the voters of Atascadero to support
Proposition 30.

On motion by Councilman Norris and seconded by Councilman
Mackey , the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety on the following vote:
AYES: Councilwoman Norris and Mackey, Councilman Molina and Handshy
and Mayor Nelson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
