Home My WebLink AboutResolution 66-96 i xEEOLUTION 66-96 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO CONFIRMING THE COST OF WEED ABATEMENT WHEREAS, the Government Code of the State of California, Section 39500, et seq., provides that cities may declare weeds a public nuisance for the purpose of Weed Abatement;and the Atascadero City Fire Department did abate said nuisance within the provision of the government Code, Section 39500, et seq.;and WHEREAS, the cost of the work of abatement as shown on Preliminary Special Tax Listing for 1996/97 Tax Year was submitted in acco,dance with Government Code Section 39574;and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Abm=dero received the cost report and held a hearing to receive objections of any property owners liable to be assessed for the work of abatement. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the report of abatement cost is confined as presented; and BE IT PLTRTHER RESOLVED that the costs of abatement constitutes a special assessment against the described parcels and shalt be lien on the property in accordance with Government Code Section 39577; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit to the proper officials of the County a. certified copy of the report for filing- On motion by CounciI person Luna and seconded by Council person Johnson , the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Bewley, Carden, Johnson, Luna and Mayor Highland NOES: None None ABSENT: ADOPTED: July 23, 1996 e Resolution No. 66 -96 Page Two ATTEST: !
