HomeMy WebLinkAboutFC_2013-05-16_Minutes CITY OF ATASCADERO FINANCE COMMITTEE NOTES Thursday, May 16, 2013 3:00 p.m. Atascadero City Hall – Conference Rm 4 6907 El Camino Real, Atascadero, California CALL TO ORDER: Council Member Moreno called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. Members Present: Council Members Heather Moreno and Brian Sturtevant Staff Present: City Manager Wade McKinney, Administrative Services Director Rachelle Rickard, and Assistant to the City Manager Marcia McClure Torgerson Absent: City Treasurer Joe Modica PUBLIC COMMENT: None BUSINESS: 1. Review of Draft Budgets for Operating Funds Administrative Services Director Rickard reviewed the Operating Funds with the Committee, such as the Fire Truck Fund, Fire Facilities Fund, and Building Maintenance Fund. The Committee suggested Staff look into a grant for replacement of the street lights, owned by the City, to LED to save money. 2. General Discussion Regarding Selected Budget Items The Committee discussed the Zoo. They expressed an interest in adding an additional Zoo Keeper to the Budget, and an increase in the admission fees at the Zoo, to assist in AZA approval. The Committee also reviewed all the Supplementals that were submitted by all Departments.
