CALL TO ORDER:
Council Member Moreno called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
Members Present: Council Members Heather Moreno and Brian Sturtevant,
Administrative Services Director Rachelle Rickard, City Manager Wade McKinney
Absent: City Treasurer Joe Modica
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
BUSINESS:
1. Review of the Budget Process
Director Rickard reviewed the budget process and the information we have on
hand.
2. Review of Early Revenue and Expense Estimates
Discussion ensued on the CJPIA payment and the decision of whether to pay it
this fiscal year or next. Director Rickard explained how the pool works and wh y
the City is subject to the retroactive payment. The Committee agreed to
recommend paying the CJPIA payment this fiscal year.
The contract with Joe A. Gonsalves & Son was explained and the Committee
recommended continuing the contract.
Director Rickard explained the format of the City Budget and clarified what is
reflected in each of the sections.
The Committee discussed considering raising the Zoo fees. Staff will forward the
survey to Council Members Moreno & Sturtevant.
The Committee reviewed the debt service portion of the budget.
Council Member Moreno adjourned the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
