RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ATASCADERO TO AUTHORIZE THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF TWO CROSSWALKS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
SAN ANSELMO AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL
WHEREAS , Section 4 .2 .404 et . seq. of the Atascadero
Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to
determine the location of Traffic Control Devices , and to
place and maintain appropriate signs or markings indicating
the same; and
WHEREAS, as a condition of development the K-Mart
Corporation is required to construct a traffic signal at
the intersection of San Anselmo and El Camino Real ; and
WHEREAS, a signalized intersection has been
determined to be an appropriate location for a pedestrian
crosswalk and it has been determined that crosswalks are
warranted at this location .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Atascadero directs the Traffic Engineer to oversee the
installation of crosswalks at the intersection of San
Anselmo Avenue and El Camino Real as illustrated in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto .
On Motion by Councilman NORRIS and
seconded by Councilman BOURBEAU the foregoing
Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the
following roll call vote : I
AYES : COUNCILMEMBERS BORGESON, BOURBEAU, NORRIS AND MAYOR MACKEY
NOES : NONE
ABSENT : COUNCILMAN IIANDSHY
