RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO REDUCING THE SPEED
LIMIT ON WEST FRONT ROAD FROM 55 MPH TO 30 MPH
BETWEEN SAN GABRIEL AND SAN RAFAEL
WHEREAS, Section 4-2. 501 et sequence of the Atascadero Municipal
Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to determine the speed limits
of City streets and to place and maintain appropriate signs or
markings indicating the same; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero Traffic Committee has recommended that
reducing the speed limit on West Front Avenue between. San Gabriel
and San Rafael Roads from 55 MPH to 30 MPH will improve safety
conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero
directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and maintain appropriate
signs or marking indicating a maximum speed of 30 MPH on West Front
Avenue from San Gabriel to San Rafael Roads ,
On Motion by COUNCILWOMAN NORRIS ,and seconded by
COUNCILMAN HANDSHythe foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCIL`ZEMBERS BORGESON, HANDSITY, MOLINA, NORRIS AND
MAYOR DIACKEY
