RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE DISASTER MITIGATION ACT 2000 (DMA 2000)
LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN FOR ATASCADERO,
CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the Local Hazard Mitigation Planning Team has drafted a Local Hazard
Mitigation Plan to advance better mitigation planning and projects within the City of Atascadero,
and
WHEREAS, each City department and the public has contributed to this planning
approach under the direction of the Federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero City Council agrees to abide by the Disaster Mitigation Act
2000 guidance and grant guidelines and this Plan represents the compliance with same,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plan entitled "The Local Hazard
Mitigation Plan for Atascadero, California" is formally adopted as our plan and road map to a
more disaster resistant community
On motion by Council Member Luna and seconded by Council Member O'Malley, the
foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote
AYES Council Members Clay, Luna, O'Malley, Pacas and Mayor Scalise
NOES None
ABSENT None
