Mayor Brennler called the meeting to order at 7.00 p m

Brennler
Planning Commissioners Jack, O'Grady, Marks, Heatherington,
Slane, Fonzi and Chairperson O'Keefe
Parks & Recreation Commissioners Chacon, Hatch, Istenes,
Marks, and Vice Chairperson Butz
Absent• Parks & Recreation Commissioner Dunn and Chairperson Sechrist
Others Present: City Clerk/Assistant to City Manager Marcia McClure Torgerson
Staff Present City Manager Wade McKinney, Community Development Director
Warren Frace, Community Services Director Brady Cherry, and
City Attorney Brian Pierik.
TRAINING SESSION Facilitated by City Attorney Brian Pierik
City Attorney Brian Pierik gave a presentation discussing the Brown Act, and gave case
studies Mr Pierik also answered questions of the Council and Commissioners

PUBLIC COMMENT Members of the public may address the legislative bodies
concerning the subject of this Special Joint Meeting

David Broadwater, read sections of the Brown Act and stated that he disagreed with the
City Attorney concerning how many City officials could have attended the Eagle Ranch
meeting
Tom Comar, in reference to a question Council Member O'Malley asked concerning
signing petitions, stated that signatures on a petition are confidential
Mayor Brennler closed the Public Comment Period.
Mr Pierik answered additional questions of the Council and Commissioners
ADJOURNMENT The City Council and Commissions adjourned at 8 50 p m to their
next regularly scheduled meetings
