A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASACADERO, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING THE SUBMISSION TO
THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF A CERTAIN MEASURE
RELATING TO SALES TAX AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 20069 AS
CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO 2006-068
WHEREAS, a General Municipal election on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 has been
called by Resolution No 2006-068, adopted on June 27, 2006, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to rescind a question relating to sales tax,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 That the City Council, pursuant to its right and authority, does order
repealed Sections 2 & 3 of Resolution No 2006-068 to remove the following question from the
General Municipal Election
BALLOT MEASURE #
ATASCADERO PUBLIC SERVICES PRESERVATION MEASURE YES
Shall the City of Atascadero enact a one-half cent sales tax for a
period of six years to help preserve the safety and character of
Atascadero, by funding essential services such as road
maintenance, fire/police services, and other general NO
governmental purposes, requiring a published annual report on
General Fund expenditures, and requiring a public hearing by
the City Council every three years to determine whether the tax
is still necessary?
SECTION 2 That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be
held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections.
SECTION 3 That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
