A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
ADOPTING GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA)
WHEREAS, the California Resources Agency publishes guidelines to
implement the California Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atascadero is required by the State to imple-
ment said Act as it pertains to projects subject to its purview; and
WHEREAS, Section 15022 (c) of the CEQA Guidelines requires the City
to conform to any statutory changes in the California Environmental
Quality Act within 120 days of their adoption; and
WHEREAS, it would be most expeditious for the City to adopt the
CEQA Guidelines prepared by the Resources Agency through incorporation
by reference consistent with Section 15022 (d) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Atas-
cadero as follows:
Section 1. The Environmental Impact procedures and Guidelines
' ras set out in the attached Exhibit A are incorporated herein by
reference.
Section 2. The Community Development Department shall be re-
sponsible for administering provisions of the City' s environmental
review guidelines and shall prepare documents for distribution to the
public and for official City files.
On motion by COUNCILMAN HANDSITY , seconded by COUNCILWOMAN
MACKEY , the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety
by the following vote:
