RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO DECLARING
THE BELOW LISTED ANIMALS AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THEIR
RELOCATION.
Whereas, the Parks and Recreation Department is planning on
improvement projects at the Charles Paddock Zoo which will necessi-
tate the relocation of several animals;
Whereas, the governmental body responsible for facility inspec-
tion, USDA, has recommended and/or mandated the relocation of various
animals at the Zoo;
Whereas, it is the intent of the City to replace these animals
with exotic species;
Now, therefore be it resolved that the City Council of the City
of Atascadero hereby declares as surplus property the following ani-
mals: Fallow (4) , Skunk, Pig, and Donkey, and authorizes the dispo-
sition to the following locations : Fallow-Sebatiani Winery, Sonoma
County; Pig-Creston; Donkey-Creston; Skunk-California Living Museum,
Bakersfield.
On motion by Councilman HANDSITY and seconded by Council-
man MOLINA , the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in
its entirety on the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILPERSONS HANDSITY, MACKEY, MOLINA & MAYOR NELSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILPERSON NORRIS
