RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO DESIGNATING A NO PARKING ZONE
AT THE INTERSECTION OF EAST MALL AND EL CAMINO REAL
WHEREAS, Section 4-2. 1101 et sequence of the Atascadero
Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to determine
the location of NO PARKING areas, and to place and maintain
appropriate signs or markings indicating the same; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero Traffic Committee has recommended
that prohibiting vehicles from parking within 10 feet of the
hydrant located at the southeast corner of East Mall and E1
Camino Real and from the hydrant to El Camino Real and to 20
feet southerly on E1 Camino Real, and to prohibit parking on
the northwest side of East Mall from a point directly across
from a point 10 ft easterly of the above hydrant to El Camino
Real and to 20 feet northerly on E1 Camino Real will alleviate
or correct a hazardous traffic condition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero
directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and maintain appropriate
signs or markings indicating a NO PARKING AREA as described in the
paragraph above.
On Motion by COUNCILPERSON HANDSITY ,and seconded by COUNCIL-
PERSON MACKEY , the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in
its entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCILPERSONS HANDSITY, MACKEY, MOLINA & MAYOR NELSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILPERSON NORRIS
