RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO ESTABLISHING NO PARKING
AND 2 HOUR PARKING ON SANTA YSABEL AND SOUTH MALL EXTENSION
WHEREAS, Section 4-2. 1101 et sequence of the Atascadero Municipal
Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to determine the location of
NO PARKING and 2 HOUR PARKING areas and to place and maintain
appropriate signs or markings indicating the same; and
WHEREAS, The Atascadero Traffic Committee has recommended the
following modifications to alleviate the congestion and sight
distance conditions at the subject intersection:
- No Parking on South Mall Extension within 50 feet of the
Santa Ysabel intersection.
- No Parking within 20 feet of all driveways on South Mall
Extension and Santa Ysabel from the northerly side of Bank
of America to the southerly side of Williams Brothers Market.
- No Parking on Santa Ysabel from South Mall Extension to E1
Camino Real.
- 2 Hour Parking on both sides of South Mall Extension from
Santa Ysabel to the northerly side of Bank of America.
- 2 Hour Parking on both sides of Santa Ysabel from South
Mall Extension to the southerly side of Williams Brothers
Market.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero
directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and maintain appropriate
signs or markings indicating the modifications listed above.
On Motion by COUNCILPERSON HANDSITY , and seconded by COUNCIL-
PERSON MACKEY, the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCILPERSONS HANDSITY, MACKEY, MOLINA & MAYOR NELSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILPERSON NORRIS
