A RESOLUTION ADOPTING POSITION CLASSIFICATIONS
OF POLICE LIEUTENANT AND FIRE BATTALION CHIEF
WHEREAS, the Becker and Bell Classification Study recommends
the creation of an Assistant level position in both the Police
and Fire Departments; and
WHEREAS, the Police and Fire Chiefs strongly recommend the
creation of an Assistant position; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has analyzed the Police and Fire
Department organizations and recommends the formulation of the
Police Lieutenant and Fire Battalion Chief positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Atascadero City Council
approves the creation of the Police Lieutenant and Fire Battalion
Chief classifications.
On motion by COUNCILWOMAN MACKEY and seconded by COUNCILMAN
MOLINA , the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILWOMEN DIACKEY AND NORRIS, COUNCILMEN HANDSITY AND
MOLINA AND MAYOR NELSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
