HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 076-85 NOTE : NO ACTION TAKEN ON THIS RESOLUTION B�Y�COUNCIL 8/12/85 RESOLUTION NO. 76 -85 *MW A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO DENYING THE APPEAL LIMITING OVERALL SIGNAGE TO 100 SQUARE FEET AND APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 14-85 (SANTA LUCIA NATIONAL BANK: 7480 EL CAMINO REAL) WHEREAS, an appeal has been submitted appealing conditional ap- proval of said use permit eliminating proposed wall-mounted logos; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the record of testimony before the Planning Commission, staff report, and considered public testimony before the Council on this issue. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero does resolve as follows: Section 1. Council Findings. 1. The proposed project or use is consistent with the General Plan (Community Appearance Element) . 2. The proposed. project or use satisfies all applicable provi- sions of the zoning ordinance as to location and design not covered by the proposed conditional use permit. 3. The establishment will not, because of the circumstances and conditions applied in the particular case, be detrimental to the health, safety or welfare of the general public or per- sons residing or working in the neighborhood of the use, or be detrimental or injurious to property or improvements in the vicinity of the use. 4. The proposed project or use will not be inconsistent with the character of the immediate neighborhood or contrary to its orderly development. 5. The proposed use or project will not generate a volume of traffic beyond the safe capacity of all roads providing ac- cess to the project, either existing or to be improved in conjunction with the project, or beyond the normal traffic volume of the surrounding neighborhood that would result from full development in accordance with the Land Use Element. 6. The proposed project of additional signs is categorically exempt from environmental review under the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, Class 3c. 7. The proposed signage, with the deletion of the logo sign, would not exceed that which is needed to identify the use and activities on the site. 2- Section 2. Conditions of Approval. 1. Site development shall be consistent with the accompanying plans including modifications required herein to delete the wall-mounted logo signs. 2. All conditions of approval herein shall be complied with or guaranteed prior to occupancy of new construction. 3. Approval of this conditional use permit will expire one year after the date of final approval unless an extension of time has been granted pursuant to a written request prior to the expiration date.
