RESOLUTION NO. RA 2008-002
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF ATASCADERO ADOPTING AN UPDATED IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
FOR THE PERIOD COVERING 2008-2013
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California
(Redevelopment Law), the City of Atascadero (City) has adopted a Redevelopment Plan for the
Atascadero Community Redevelopment Project Area (Project Area) administered by the
Community Redevelopment Agency of Atascadero (Agency); and,
WHEREAS, the Agency adopted the Amended Redevelopment Plan to include the first
Implementation Plan on or about May 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency is engaged in activities necessary to implement the
Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area; and,
WHEREAS, principle among the activities of the Agency is the elimination of blight and
that of blighting influences; and,

WHEREAS, under Section 33490 of Redevelopment Law, it is required that each
redevelopment agency adopt an updated Implementation Plan every five years; and,
WHEREAS, Agency Staff facilitated a number of community forums and received
considerable public input as part of the updated Implementation Plan development process; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing at which the Redevelopment Agency Board would
consider the draft Implementation Plan was set for June 10, 2008, and notice of the public
hearing was given as prescribed by Section 33490 (d) of the California Health and Safety Code
(Redevelopment Law); and,
WHEREAS, adoption of the 2008-2013 Five -Year Implementation Plan by the Agency
in no way binds the Agency to perform or to complete the programs and projects reflected
therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Atascadero Community
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Atascadero as follows:
1. The Redevelopment Agency Board of the City of Atascadero approves and adopts the
2008-2013 Five -Year Implementation Plan for the Atascadero Community
um Redevelopment Project Area.

2. This Resolution will take effect upon adoption.
On motion by Board Member Luna and seconded by Board Member Clay, the foregoing
Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the -following roll call vote:
AYES: Board Members Brennler, Clay, Luna and Chairperson Beraud
NOES: None
ABSENT: Board Member O'Malley
