City Council Team Development:
This portion of the workshop will be dedicated to the Council team and their decision
making process. The facilitator will work with the Council to improve discussion, create
communications agreements between the team and develop a positive working
relationship. Saturday will focus on setting goals for the City for the next two years.
The public is invited to participate in the goal setting process Saturday, there will be no
goals setting Friday night.
Welcome and Introductions 5:30 p.m. — Mayor Luna (est. 5 min.)
Public Comment — This is an opportunity to provide your input to the City
Council. If you are going to recommend goals or discussion issues, you may
want to participate Saturday when the entire day will be focused on goal setting.

City Council Goal Setting:
This portion of the workshop will be dedicated to developing and prioritizing two year
goals for the City. The City Council, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation
Commission and City staff have been collecting a list of potential community goals.
Community members have also been able to submit goal recommendations through the
City's web site. The City Council will discuss these issues and focus the City's efforts
on the top priorities. The Council will prioritize the goals. City staff will develop action
plans around these goals and present them at a regular Council meeting for Council
review, modification and acceptance. A light lunch will be served approximately 12:00
p.m. The Mayor will call for breaks in the session as needed.

(est. 1 hour)

• The community is invited to comment on future goals and issues, and/or add
recommended goals for what the Council/City should do to improve
Atascadero.
• Facilitator will invite comments from Community members.
