Subject:12/9/25 CC Agenda Item G. PUBLIC HEARINGS - 1. Fireworks; Social Host Ordinance
Members of the City Council:
We are unable to attend the 12/9/2025 meeting to speak about the Fireworks-Social Host
Ordinance. However, we want to express our sincere thanks to the City Council and City Staff for
listening to the concerns that our neighborhood had regarding the fireworks on the 4th of July, 2025.
Following that City Council meeting, Police Chief Dan Suttles and Fire Chief Casey Bryson invited the
concerned residents to a meeting to update us on the progress made toward implementing an improved
ordinance.
We fully support the recommendation brought to Council tonight and ask that you adopt the ordinance
before you.
This process was a very positive experience and a great example of how City Staff and residents can work
together to resolve issues and help make our City a safer place to live.
