My name is Condy Rucker and I live at , which is right around the corner from this parcel. My husband and I both would love it if you'd go ahead and approve this use permit. They have worked very hard on growing the trees. The land use is fabulous alongside the river (unlike the crazy RV storage proposal). Their kids serve hot chocolate, it is decorated in a fun old school way (with a lovely gate) and it is such a short period of time. I hope you have no push back. Young families need a way to make extra cash. Cindy Rucker ATTENTION: I This email originated from outside the City's network. Use caution when opening links and attachments. This sale of Christmas trees at 9555 Santa Barbara Road will increase the traffic on our narrow road substantially. We live next door to this property. Also, since this residence is not within Atascadero's city limits, shouldn't this be a SLO county matter and not an Atascadero city matter? From: Barbara Schneiderhan Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2023 10:55 AM To: Planning Commission Public Comments Subject: Tree farm on AP045-311-017 This email is to provide input regarding the tree farm on Santa Barbara road. I live on Los Palos road, which Santa Barbara turns into right after the farm. I drive by there whenever I go to town or the freeway. I have no objection to this project. In fact I wish them well. They have improved the road by keeping everything clear and clean. They have replaced the old wire fence with a new drill pipe fence which looks really nice. They have plenty of off road parking so the customers do not effect traffic or safety on the road. The entrance is on a straight section of the road so there is no hazard for customers entering or leaving the farm. I love that it gives locals a place to go with their kids to cut a tree and enjoy the festivities at the farm. I don't think there is any negative impact with this project. The fact that they are growing and replacing trees is good for the environment. I am all in favor of letting the owners have a conditional permit to sell trees. If you have any questions please feel free to call. Barbara -- Respectfully Barbara Schneiderhan ATTENTION: This email originated from outside the City's network.
