APN 029-105-038
We are writing in favor of agenda 029-105-038 for our neighbor, Irene Bishop. We have been up to her property and the
storage containers are a major eye sore and obstruction of her beautiful view. We can also see these containers from
downtown city hall area.
We are saddened that the Shuford's have not kept their promise of removing these temporary containers with Irene
Bishop. Irene Bishop is an honest and kind human being and the stress this has caused her is heartbreaking. Please give
her back her rightful view from her property. Thank you.

Hello,

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
This message is intended for the DRC hearing tomorrow, if it could be read aloud during public comment then I would
really appreciate it. Please let me know, thank you!
Hello DRC, thank you for taking the time to review projects and give input to improve the look of our community. I am
Max Zappas, a local resident and business owner. I wanted to reach out today because I received a letter from a
concerned neighbor of the subject property that is home to the shipping container. The shipping container is very visible
from the neighboring homes as well as the downtown, it was intended to be a temporary storage use, and it is not being
proposed to be moved to a location that is acceptable to the neighbor nor is the new location outside the required
setbacks. As a local developer, I am asking that you hold others to the same codes and setbacks that we have to follow
as homebuilders. I also ask that you require the owner of the container to move it to a location that is both compliant
with the code and acceptable to the neighbor that has had to endure the impact of this temporary structure for years.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Thank you,

Subject: Agenda item Number 028-221-006 (Irene T Bishop)
My comment is this: If there are rules for property development in the city of Atascadeto, they should be
upheld. They can't be knowingly ignored with impunity. I am at' and have had a few minor
issues as well. But that's for me to resolve. My concern is why there needs to be a meeting in the first place.
My assumption is that the city has all the information. They have been to the site and seen the layout and
structures. Either the items in question fully meet the requirements for the city, or they don't. If they DO, why
have a meeting? If they don't? Again, why the need for a meeting? The city should follow through with its own
requirements.
A failure to act according to the rules of the city would allow me, for instance, to simply cut down a tree that
offends me on my property. it might be a native tree. Regardless, if the city has ordinances prohibiting a
homeowner from chopping down a tree without a permit what would the city do if I were to knowingly disregard
that rule? Would they hold a meeting to discuss whether I was in violation?
Holding a meeting - either by zoom or in person feels like a cop-out by the city. Do your )obs. Either there is a
clear violation or there isn't.
